She was my teacher when I was in first and second grade.  She has taught each one of my three children.  Gertrude has been in education for fifty-eight years and currently teaches Spanish at Sacred Heart School in Hartford, Kansas.
She has taught every year but one since 1928, and she continues to teach Spanish at Sacred Heart School.  The children in her neighborhood visit her frequently.
Gertrude continues to take an active interest in the education and development of the youth of America as a whole and specifically the children of Lyon Country.
