Francisco Walker

On Jan. 12, 1982, science teacher Francisco Walker saw two kids that didn’t belong in his school running through Edison Middle School and started to follow them in a foot chase. Walker chased the boys down two flights of stairs, out the door , and caught them in the parking lot and tried to take the boys to the office. One of the students plunged a three-inch switchblade into Walker’s chest, killing him. Later, the police found out that the 17 year old boy who had done the stabbing was a school drop out, hearing impaired, child who read at a 2nd grade level and had a limited vocabulary. The boy was convicted of murder.
