At the heart of Peg’s practice is a deep commitment to inclusion and identity. Her classroom is intentionally designed to serve as both a mirror and a window—reflecting students’ own cultures and experiences while expanding their view of who can belong in mathematics. By challenging narrow definitions of “being good at math,” she cultivates a broader understanding of intellectual strengths and empowers students to see themselves as capable mathematicians.
